Gucc! vintage geometric metallic jacquard suiting
contents: 50linen/40cotton/10poly
width: 61"
origin: designer deadstock/Gucc!
From the famous Italian designer, this is a unique yarn-dyed jacquard woven with a very eye-catching vintage motif. This fabric has body and some firmness in the drape with no stretch. The weight and texture are suited to a cooler weather suiting, jacket or tapestry-style coat (see the 4th image for a sample garment from the designer's RTW line). The striking geometric pattern (6" repeat) has a "groovy", mod 60's vibe with a color story of dark java, sand and bright copper blended with metallic copper (PANTONE 13-1008, 17-1446, 19-1213, etc.). Wonderful visual interest and texture is created by a slightly open basketweave and, though it is an opaque fabric, glimmers of metallic copper show slightly throughout the entire pattern. The back side is an inverse of the same design, which could be used for contrasting pattern pieces. Lining is recommended. Dry clean only.
