This is a gorgeous and fashion forward lightweight matelasse from Italy, all silk (I'm guessing there's a little bit of nylon due to the reflective sheen, but it's a minimal amount) with a textured surface and a beautiful abstract design. Much more wonderful in real life! It's thin yet opaque, with lovely drape and a bit of crispness. Make a fabulous trench-style jacket for a trendy evening look, or any type of jacket, pouffy skirt, fitted dress or dramatic gown. It can also be dressed down for an "upscale casual" look! Dry cleaning recommended.
