SPECIAL ORDER ONLY (just takes an extra day or two): I've been drooling over this amazing fabric for months, each time I go to this certain supplier in NY, and this time I just couldn't resist!! I bought ONE YARD (just enough to photograph!) of this ultra-couture, ultra-expensive silk/cotton plaid textured and laminated voile from Italy. Unfortunately the photo does nothing for this masterpiece! It's a sheer plaid made from yarns of varying thicknesses, giving it a wonderful texture, and then a cording is woven through strategically to define the plaid. The fabric has gold lamination in some areas and in other areas the lamination is mixed with black thread to give a different shading. The colors are red, gold, shades of cream and ivory, and bit of black which is really only seen from the wrong side. It has a floaty, crinkly drape with just a bit of crispness. Just screaming out for a designer's creative eye, although the fabric really does speak for itself. For a special occasion. Dry cleaning recommended.
