  • From Emil Rutenberg, made in Italy, this fabric is like wearing jewelry! Absolutely exquisite brocade (not printed) design with a slightly puckery, crinkly texture, and stripes of black, silver and antique gold in an intricate and beautiful design, with some shimmery metallic areas. Has very nice drape but is a suiting weight, and the stripes can be oriented horizontally or vertically. I can't stress enough how much more beautiful this is in real life! Excellent for an evening "bohemian-style" skirt (stripes horizontal), a centerpiece jacket (stripes vertical), a special wrap, or whatever your imagination can create! I actually have the exact contents for this one: 46 acetate/38 viscose/10 wool/4 cotton/2 nylon. (So this is a good example of what I mean when I say "melange", although I'm usually not lucky enough to have the exact contents.) Dry cleaning recommended.
