This was love at first sight! What a gorgeous jacquard weave from the designer Anni Kuan, made in France. It has a graphic "pyramid" design (not a print!) that combines diamonds and stripes in beautiful and unusual weave that is reminiscent of basketweave and has a slight texture. Totally opaque, smooth and soft, and although it has a hand-loomed look it is highly refined. The colors are amazing too: teal (PANTONE 18-4612 is close), turquoise (15-4720), lavender, sand (12-0704) and bits of gold. More crisp than drapey, but soft and malleable. Best for simple, well-tailored garments such as a stand-out jacket or coat, vest, fitted skirt, or it would be great for home decor as well. Dry cleaning recommended.
