This is a terrific quilted knit imported from Italy-- a wonderful contemporary basic that is highly versatile! It's got two layers of a black silky knit with a pleasing sheen, held together with a scramble stitch quilting. There's a very thin layer of "batting" (?) in between the layers which gives it more dimension but does not add bulk. This fabric is very soft, smooth, light, and would work for any number of structured or unstructured separates. This would also make a fabulous lining for a jacket or coat!! More casual, yet very stylish... and has just a bit of stretch which is stabilized by the quilting. Dry clean, or test first if you want to try washing at home.
