From Chanel (yes, really!), made in Italy, this fabric is spectacular. It's a yarn scramble fabric created through a special felting process that adheres (without glue or fusing) thick and thin yarns to each other in a scrambled design. There's no backing fabric on this, so although it's generally thick, it does have some areas that are thinner where there's less coverage, so you may wish to consider lining it. More "firm" than drapey, although it's soft and malleable. Perfect for an indoor or outdoor artsy jacket or coat, or whatever else your creative spirit can come up with! The amazing colors are red (more of a "blue" red like PANTONE 18-1661), very dark brownish-gray (19-1213) and winter white, arranged in vertically-oriented areas that alternate the red with the gray/white. SO distinctive, beautiful and original! Dry cleaning recommended.
