Available by special order only (just takes an extra day or so): This tweed fabric made in Italy has a gorgeous texture and sheen that is much more beautiful in real life! It's a fancy basketweave and the yarns are of varying widths and textures: some are twisty, some novelty, some variegated, there's a bit of gold metallic. The coloration is champagne/golden/ivory... I came up with PANTONE 14-1112 as the overall coloration, but that is an inadequate representation! This tweed probably needs a fusible backing if you intend to make a Chanel-style jacket... by itself it has a more liquid drape and a slightly loose weave. It's a suiting weight, perfect for any number of fitted or drapey styles for day or evening. Dry cleaning recommended. Sells for $59.00/yd in NY.
