To add richness and elegance to an outfit, the brocade family of fabrics are a wonderful choice! They are typically woven with an extra set of yarns to achieve rich textures, patterns and colorings that can be quite spectacular. Some can have a more firm drape while others are softer and more malleable, and the texture can be quite dimensional or more flat depending on the process used to weave the fabric. The patterning and intricate beauty of the distinctive weaves used in the production of these fabrics allow them to be highlighted in simple silhouettes.
