From French designer deadstock, this is a handsome tweedy wool bouclé dress/suiting weight which, if you examine it closely, has a herringbone pattern switching direction with each stripe. A timeless and sophisticated style with a modern edge, it is just about opaque and medium weight with a soft drape. It has a smaller bouclé looping that forms a rich surface texture. The weave is slightly loose, so it has a really nice drape. Yarn dyed with a salt and pepper mix of light gray and black (PANTONE 18-05003 overall, 11-0107), there is a cream yarn stripe with a hand-sewn look running vertically at 1.5" intervals, which coincides with the intervals of the herringbone pattern. These stripes show on the face side only. Use the face, reverse or both sides in combination to suit your vision. Make high fashion suit, skirt, jacket, dress, slacks, etc. Dry cleaning recommended.
