From designer deadstock, this is a beautiful, Guatemalan all cotton woven with a traditional Ikat design. It is a lighter medium weight, opaque with some body in the drape. The wonderful design (35.5" repeat) is yarn-dyed using the traditional ikat method, and runs vertically in bands of periwinkle, sangria, toffee, smoke gray, black, soft white, etc. (PANTONE 19-2024, 17-1328, 18-3905, etc.). It is stable in both directions and has a dry hand with a comfortable and smooth surface texture. The occasional features throughout and subtle asymmetry in the design signal the traditional weaving and dying methods used to produce this unique fabric. Make a jacket, poncho, overshirt, pants, dress or skirt, etc. Hand wash and hang to dry (please test first).
