recycled chito mid-weight athletic knit - periwinkle

This is an exciting new addition to EOS, eco-friendly and high-performing recycled chito athletic knit. The weight is highly versatile, a lighter medium weight and drapey but with substance. It is made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles combined with biomass from crustaceans to create a naturally anti-microbial, odor-resistant and moisture wicking material that feels soft and breathable. 7 plastic bottles were diverted from the waste stream for each meter of this fabric! Chitosante fabric requires only 1/3 the energy of traditional polyester manufacturing processes and the supply chain requires no pesticides or herbicides. Darker colors of this fabric are rated UPF 50+, and though lighter colors like this will result in lower UPF it will still provide great protection. It has 50% stretch in both directions with excellent recovery and is opaque when not overstretched. The quality of the fabric is excellent and has many applications. This one is a pretty periwinkle (PANTONE 18-3930 is close). Perfect for swimwear, rash guards, athletic wear, lightweight sporty jackets, tees, tops, leggings, undergarments, etc. Hand or machine wash cold with similar colors, hang to dry, iron low temperature (please test first).
